Let's Show Up for Justin!

If you know Justin Peters, you know he is one of those unforgettable people who makes life richer for everyone around him.

Despite having the intelligence and talent to pursue almost any path, Justin has always chosen work that connects people, tells stories, and brings joy to others. He's the kind of person you can sit down with and end up talking about everything from baseball to history to comedy to the big questions in life. He has built an impressive career as a journalist, writer, author, and performer. However, what stands out most isn't the list of accomplishments—it's what he chose to do with his talents.

Justin has spent his life telling other people's stories, giving voice to important ideas, making audiences laugh, building community through improv comedy, and helping people see the world a little differently. He has a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. For all of his accomplishments, Justin has never stopped being approachable, humble, and deeply kind.

Just over three weeks ago, though, Justin was diagnosed with glioblastoma (grade four), one of the most aggressive and devastating forms of brain cancer. In an instant, life changed for Justin and everyone who loves him.

Glioblastoma is not just a diagnosis—it is a life-altering disease that affects every part of a family's world. It requires difficult treatment decisions, ongoing medical care, frequent appointments, and often travel to specialized centers. It brings uncertainty, physical challenges, emotional strain, and financial burdens that can quickly become overwhelming.

As the Mayo Clinic puts it, glioblastoma tends to "grow and spread quickly within the brain; be difficult to remove completely with surgery; and
come back after treatment." Families facing glioblastoma often find themselves balancing treatment schedules, caregiving responsibilities, work disruptions, and the reality that life can change dramatically from one day to the next.

While we cannot change Justin's diagnosis, we can help ease the burdens that come with it. Our goal is to provide financial gifts directly to Justin and his family so they can focus on Justin's health, their time together, and the moments that matter most.

GoFundMe donations will help with:

• Medical expenses not covered by insurance
• Travel and lodging for consultations and treatment
• Lost income during treatment and recovery
• Groceries, rent, and household expenses
• Family support needs
• House cleaning and other practical services
• Transportation and daily living costs
• Possibly the purchase of a nice used Harley-Davidson

Justin has spent years sharing his talents, humor, friendship, and generosity with others. Now it's our turn to give back.

And while it's easy to think there will be another opportunity to help, the truth is that most of the people with glioblastoma end up dying within two years of their diagnosis. Justin and his family need us now. Right now.

If Justin has ever made you laugh, taught you something new, inspired you with his writing, shared a story that stayed with you, or simply made your life a little brighter, please consider making a gift today. No amount is too small. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is another meaningful way to help.

Let's surround Justin and his entire family with the love and support they deserve during this difficult time and remind them that they do not have to walk this road alone.

All funds will be provided directly to Justin Peters as personal gifts to support during treatment, recovery, travel, lost income, enjoyment, and family needs.

Thank you for helping us show Justin that he does not have to face this journey alone. ❤️
