My name is Troy Thorne and I am the PGA Head Golf Professional at the Highlands in Chesterfield. I am excited to share some big news — one of our Highlands members, Justin LaRue, is pursuing his dream of a professional golf career!

Justin recently graduated from Longwood University as a Division I golfer, where he set multiple school records and was most recently honored as a GolfWeek Honorable Mention All-American. In May 2025, Justin officially turned professional and joined the GPro Golf Tour.

As you can imagine, entry fees, travel, and tournament expenses add up quickly. That’s why I’ve started this fundraiser — to rally our golfing community and support Justin as he takes this important step forward.

Justin’s parents, Chris and Sheila, have been by his side, taking him to tournaments since he was just five years old. Their dedication and love have helped him get to this point, and now we have an opportunity to help carry some of the load.
