Justin Lalumiere and his family are facing an incredibly difficult time. Justin, a dedicated farmer, suffered a stroke on Memorial Day and underwent emergency surgery for a large blood clot going into his brain. He spent five days in the ICU, with his wife AnnaJo by his side, while their two young children were cared for by family members. Although Justin was able to return home and begin his recovery, he still has a small tear in his heart that will need to be repaired.
Recently, Justin was readmitted to the hospital with complications. He is currently undergoing tests so doctors can monitor his organs and symptoms. This unexpected setback has added even more stress and uncertainty for the family as they navigate his ongoing recovery.
As many of you know, Justin and AnnaJo are both farmers—one vegetable and one beef. Both farms will need to cut back on production this season, especially Justin's. Between mounting hospital bills and the loss of income from reduced farm work, they are anticipating a tough year financially.
Anything you are willing to give will be greatly appreciated. Your support will help Justin, AnnaJo, and their children focus on recovery and keep their farms going during this challenging time.
