Support Justin Kennedy & Family as He Battles AML Leukemia

Life changed in an instant for the Kennedy family. After feeling unwell for several weeks, Justin Kennedy (our dear friend "Toba"), was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) on March 20th. What he initially chalked up to fatigue, flu, or at worst pneumonia, ended up turning into a diagnosis no one anticipated. After much testing, Justin received the life-altering news that he was facing a serious and aggressive form of cancer.

Nothing in life matters more to Meagyn and Justin than their amazing children; Olivia (4), and Jones (8 months). Just days before this diagnosis, the couple celebrated their 10-year anniversary on March 12th — a milestone that now holds even deeper meaning as they begin the toughest chapter of their journey together.

Justin has already begun intensive treatment, and he’s expected to be in and out of the hospital for the next 4–8 months. Due to the nature of his diagnosis and treatment plan, he will need to be off work for at least a year. This is especially difficult as Meagyn is still on maternity leave. This sudden loss of income, combined with the emotional and physical toll of treatment, has created a heavy burden for the family.

Anyone who knows Justin knows his strength, his sense of humour, and his deep love for his family and friends. Meagyn has been by his side through every step, and their family and friends have helped to hold down the fort while navigating uncertainty and fear.
