My name is Teresa, and the picture of the man you see lying in the hospital, in a medically-induced coma, is my big brother, Justin Fleury. He's not just my big brother, but a big brother to all my sisters. My very first memories as a little girl were of my brother and me playing cars and climbing walls. I looked up to him and have always had the most tender spot in my heart for him. Although I'm younger, I've always felt like I needed to protect him and look after him. Life hasn't always been easy for Justin.
While riding his motorcycle on Saturday, July 19th, a vehicle collided with him at an intersection in Mitchell, South Dakota. When first responders arrived at the scene, Justin was unconscious and transported to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, and immediately life-flighted to Sioux Falls. He has a broken jaw and broken bones in his face and will undergo surgery.
Justin has children of his own, rent, bills, and now medical bills, and that's where I'm asking you for your help, your support, and your prayers. Any donation helps, and if you can't donate, that's okay, please consider sharing the link. Our family is forever grateful for your help. Thank you for rallying for this young man who has so much more living to do and memories to make with his family and friends.
July 29th Update:
Hello everyone, our family would like to update you all on Justin's progress. He is currently out of the hospital and on the mend back to good health. In his 'words', he looks like Frankenstein, but we'll take that all day long!
With the generous donations we've received, we've paid his rent, utilities, and had groceries delivered to him. We will continue to push the fundraiser so Justin can focus on healing.
Thank you to all those who donated to his recovery, and to those who shared his story and this link.
From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful.
Thank you.
