Support Justice for Black Cultural Educators

On March 12, 2025, one day after the DOGE mass firings of Dept. of Education workers, I was released from my guest teacher position by Teachers on Call (TOC) because I was reported by a student as being too political and too preachy in teaching about Black classical cultures. Upon immediately moving to Chicago to continue teaching in Chicagoland-area schools, TOC refused to release my records, instead telling schools that I was still under investigation. Upon my talk with the TOC official, he told me it would take awhile for them to complete the investigation, which is now approaching 3 months -- the final quarter of the school year.

I have now put together a video talk on Black classical cultures to ensure the media and the public-at-large understand what is being done, in this country, surrounding the suppression of the African-American narrative.
