Our family is facing an incredibly painful time after the sudden and heartbreaking loss of my niece, Adalynn. The shock of her passing has left us devastate. At the same time, my brother Bruce is fighting to gain custody of his youngest daughter, Amelia. Amelia is now facing life without her beloved sister and is struggling with the trauma of not only this loss but also the abuse she endured from her mother and her mother’s boyfriend. Bruce is doing everything he can to provide Amelia with a safe, loving home and the therapy she needs to heal from these experiences. The financial burden of legal fees, therapy, and starting over is immense, and our family is reaching out for help.
