Support Juno's Healing Journey and Family Support

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my very good friend and coworker. Juno and I have worked together for the past 7 years. During this time, we’ve gotten to know each other and have formed a bond. It is because of this bond that I can confidently say that Juno is one of the strongest, dedicated and most selfless people I know. She is always there to help others but is not so great when it comes to asking for help for herself. With her permission, here is her story.

Juno is a mother of 5 who has been living with chronic pain for years. She has overcome many barriers in her life and has even pushed past homelessness by elevating her career to provide stability for her children.

The source of her pain was discovered in 2023. Her surgery was scheduled for April 2024 and she was expected to be able to return to work at the end of May. Unfortunately, the surgery did not go well and she is now in more pain than she was before. Our employers did everything they could in an effort to keep her because she is such a great asset to the organization, but they have now exhausted all options and her employment is set to end this week. She has been denied unemployment as she is no longer able to work and is now considered to be disabled. During her recovery period, she has also had numerous issues with her home and therefore, her life-long savings is now depleted.

I am hoping that as a community, we can come together to provide some relief for Juno so that she can continue to heal, save her home and provide for her family without the added financial stress and burden.
