On Thursday, December 19th my dad (Junior) was admitted to Kaiser Fontana Hospital after a clot was discovered on the valve of his heart. More tests revealed that three of his valves were badly damaged, and open heart surgery became his only option. After spending Christmas in the hospital, further septal scans revealed that his heart was too enlarged to operate for the capabilities of the Fontana Medical Center. A heart transplant is now required. Today, the decision was made to transfer Junior to USC, which specializes in heart transplants.
