Support Junior's Final Journey
Donation protected
I got Junior when I was 10 years old. We bought him in the parking lot of a grocery store for $800. I paid $500 of that, my dad paid the rest.
Over the last 16 years, Junior has been a constant companion, my closest friend, my child. He’s been with me for more than half my life. He’s been with me through sleepless nights, through late-night crying. He is the light of my life. He was with me when I started dating my now husband, Kin. Kin adopted him July 2020. Together we moved to a new apartment, and then again. We made a home and became a little family. Junior was even my bridesdog at our wedding last year.
Junior started being unwell two weeks ago and he’s been on a slow decline since then. He struggled to eat, even with us constantly trying to feed him. We were hopeful he might recover, but we’ve been advised that the most humane option is to put him down. It is the greatest horror of my life that dogs cannot live as long as humans. If I could give him some of my lifespan, I would. But the most I can do for him now is making sure he gets proper care and a painless send off.
Anyone who’s had a pet likely knows that pet care is expensive, and end of life care is even more so. Any support you’re able to lend us is greatly appreciated.
