Please help one of our Homewood Dayschool teacher's sweet family raise money to help their daughter with travel expenses to get her the surgery this precious little girl needs!

Junie’s team of doctors think she needs her hemangioma removed to prevent sagging in her eyelid and vision damage. She is covered for hospital stay and anesthesia, but the doctor we need is out of network. He is a unicorn doctor that can handle ophthalmology, vascular birthmarks, pediatrics, and plastics. There is not a local equivalent. Blue Cross has a “no exceptions” policy even when there are no other in-network doctors that can provide the surgery.

Her doctor in New York is amazing and is willing to do the surgery at a small fraction of the cost and set us up with the Ronald McDonald House while we are there. The insurance company has set us up with a social worker who is helping us find grants that we can apply for to cover the remaining costs. So right now, we are collecting paperwork and then we will wait to see if we get accepted or not! We are hoping for fall!
