For 31 years, June has poured her heart into nursing. From the ICU to Mental Health, and finally into educating the next generation of nurses, she has dedicated her life to caring for others. Every one of her students knows her as the kind of teacher who shows up with compassion, patience, and unwavering strength — the kind of nurse we all aspire to be.

Recently, June received the devastating news that she has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. Her treatment plan includes a double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy — a long and difficult journey that will require every ounce of courage she has.

Because of the severity of her diagnosis and the intensity of the treatments ahead, June is expected to miss several days and weeks of work over the next year. This means facing not only physical and emotional challenges, but also the financial strain that comes with extended time away from work.
