Support June Berkowitz, Owner of Nina’s Coffee Café, in her Pancreatic Cancer Journey.
Our beloved friend, neighbor, and local legend June Berkowitz has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
The news has hit hard—because if you know June, you know she is the heart of so many things.
June is the longtime owner of Saint Paul’s iconic Nina’s Coffee Café in Cathedral Hill.
For decades, Nina’s has been more than a coffee shop—it’s been a place of connection, creativity, and community. A warm refuge where writers, thinkers, neighbors, and friends gather.
That spirit—the one that makes you feel seen, welcomed, and nourished—comes directly from June.
Now she needs our help.
While June has medical insurance, there are many costs that are not covered:
• Specialized treatments and medications
• Travel to care centers and appointments
• Integrative therapies to ease symptoms and side effects
• In-home care and day-to-day support
• Lost income for both June and those caring for her
We’ve set a goal of $100,000 to help lift this financial burden and give June the space she needs to focus on what matters most: healing, rest, and precious time with her loved ones.
June has spent a lifetime showing up for others—through her work, her friendship, her generous spirit, and her deeply rooted love for this community.
Let’s show up for her now.
Whether you can give a little or a lot, it all matters.
So does sharing this with others who know and love Nina’s—or who simply want to be part of a circle that gives back - please join us in sharing this campaign widely and frequently.
With deep gratitude and love.
