Some of you may remember our story from last November. My daughter, June Laws was shot in the leg from a drive by shooting outside of our home. She was 11 years old. We were not able to raise funds to move but we are reaching out again. After 6 months we have finally have come up with a way to get some emergency assistance but still can’t come up with the amount needed to actually get out of our current situation.

   We have had another 2 drive bys since this incident. We are not safe in our home because the same people continue to retaliate against eachother. 

   Donations will be used for things like security deposits, bill transfers, U-Hauls and such. 

    I hate to be “That” mom but it would be nice to give her a nice room as well. 

    When the shooting happened last November, we asked for help and I will be honest, we got a couple hundred bucks. While it was very appreciated, it didn’t go far. Couldn’t even replace our TV (that yeah also caught a bullet). The one we spent family time together with. We bought a lot of tape and gauze. We bought June some McDonald’s and some ice cream. (How could we not) but never came close to our goal. Since last November though, we’ve still been trying to move. When the last drive-by happened ( same guys different day. Thankfully not physically hurt, we were all traumatized yet again) I petitioned to get help for an emergency move. I now finally have some help legally with that bit and I think I may have even found a safer home. 

I know that everyone is broke right now. The economy is out of hand. If you CAN afford anything I promise it is appreciated. If you CAN NOT afford: please, share with everyone you know. Church groups, parent groups, anywhere you can. I wish I was in a position to never have to ask for help but unfortunately that is not the case. • A hand up to get my kiddos in a safer neighborhood.

• Assistance with the charges incurred during moving. (New deposit fees, rental insurance etc.)
• Anything someone is willing to put toward just having a new entertainment area so we can watch movies and or play video games as a family again. 
• Anything people might want to donate to June specifically. She has gone through so much and she’s growing like a weed. She has tried not to be selfish and has taken everything in stride and even before she was shot has just been an amazing girl. She deserves the world.
