Support Jun Wema's Overseas Accident
On June 18th, Jun Wema was involved in a severe motorbike accident with another vehicle in Phuket, Thailand. The accident resulted in significant injuries, including bleeding from his right knee and shin, bleeding from the back of his head, deep cuts on his face, and an extremely deep laceration on his right forearm. Immediate medical attention was crucial, leading to Jun being transported via ambulance to Vachiraphuket Hospital, where he received treatment and stayed for two nights.
The medical team at the hospital cleansed and stitched most of Jun's wounds, but his right forearm required immediate surgery to preserve it. Two days later, Jun was discharged, but he now is required to return daily for the next two weeks for wound care and check-ups to ensure proper healing. To manage his pain and aid in the healing process, Jun is currently under heavy medication.
Unfortunately, Jun's passport is currently in police possession due to the ongoing investigation of the accident. The authorities have stipulated that all expenses related to the incident, including extensive hospital bills and the necessary repairs for both the damaged vehicle and motorbike, must be settled before Jun can be allowed to leave Thailand and return to the United States.
Thankfully, Jun’s friends that were there at the time, Alex Jones-Locke and Jonathan Mendes have extended their stay in Thailand despite taking time off work and other commitments back home. They have been assisting Jun with his daily living activities, attending to his needs, and providing support during his recovery process.
The financial implications of the accident are significant, and your contribution will play a crucial role in alleviating Jun's financial burden and expediting his return to the United States, where he can reunite with his family and friends in California. Your support will not only help cover the hospital bills but also contribute to the expenses of accommodation, living costs in Thailand, and facilitate his safe journey back. Additionally, it will assist with post-surgery rehabilitation and necessary medical follow-ups upon his return.
Your generosity and support will make a meaningful difference in providing him with the necessary care and help him embark on the path to recovery along with a joyful reunion with his loved ones.
