My name is Julliana Rojas, I am currently facing a difficult situation, my health condition is very poor. Unexpectedly I was hospitalized on 10 of May 2025, for 19 days at the Providence Hospital in Portland OR. The right side of my face is paralyzed, I was unable to talk, and my lips and right arm started getting numb. At the same time my legs started failing. My stomach stopped working. So I was unable to think, eat, walk, or do anything. This situation was getting worse and worse. I have to say that, the day before I went to take my normal classes (I am attending Clackamas Community College) and the next morning I started facing this horrible situation.

I had a job before this event. My husband still has a job, but because he was with me at the hospital all those days, he wasn’t generating any income either. I am so concerned because my medical insurance has expired and now there is no way for us to pay for hospitalization and medical expenses. I am very grateful I got the attention I deserved, doctors, nurses, therapist and all the staff at Providence treated me very efficiently, professionally, and my obligation is to pay for the service I got. I am making this public to ask your “help” to donate, contribute. I know I will not be working for a while until I recover. This could take up to a year. So, I am expecting to suffer a lot more economic struggles during this particular time (housing, food insecurity, medications, etc). Since both of us weren’t working for so many days, I need to figure things out to keep going. But medical expenses are my biggest concern. I am asking “Please, please” support me to get the source and be able to cover this unexpected expense. I would deeply appreciate it for the rest of my life. Beside all of this situation, I am on the right track, getting a college education, a very hard-working person, good citizen, good moral, and I have a lot of enthusiasm to get a degree and get a good job, help others and be a great community member like always be part of the community. Mi nombre es Julliana Rojas, y actualmente me encuentro en una situación difícil. Mi estado de salud es muy delicado. Inesperadamente, el 10 de mayo de 2025, fui hospitalizada durante 19 días en el Hospital Providence de Portland, Oregon. El lado derecho de mi cara quedó paralizado, no podía hablar y mis labios y brazo derecho comenzaron a entumecerse. Al mismo tiempo, mis piernas comenzaron a fallar y mi estómago paró de funcionar(también paralizado). Así que no podía pensar, comer, caminar ni hacer nada. Esta situación empeoraba cada vez más. Debo decir que, el día anterior fui a mis clases habituales (asisto a Clackamas Community College) y a la mañana siguiente comencé a enfrentar esta horrible situación. Estoy en proceso de obtener mi GED.

Tenía trabajo antes de este evento. Mi esposo todavía tiene trabajo, pero como estuvo conmigo en el hospital todos esos días, tampoco generaba ingresos. Estoy muy preocupada porque mi seguro médico venció y ahora no tenemos forma de pagar la hospitalización ni los gastos médicos. Estoy muy agradecida de haber recibido la atención que merecía; los médicos, enfermeras, terapeutas y todo el personal de Providence me trataron de manera muy eficiente y profesional, y mi obligación es pagar por el servicio recibido. Hago público esto para pedirles su "ayuda" para donar y contribuir. Sé que no podré trabajar por un tiempo hasta que me recupere. Esto podría tomar hasta un año. Por lo tanto, preveo sufrir muchas más dificultades económicas durante este tiempo en particular (vivienda, inseguridad alimentaria, medicamentos, etc.).
