On his way home from work recently, my partner Julius was struck by an uninsured vehicle while riding his e-bike through an intersection. The impact sent him to the hospital by ambulance, where he was treated and later released with multiple abrasions and a fractured foot that can’t bear any weight.

Although we're grateful his injuries were not more serious, the impact of this accident goes beyond the physical. As Julius is in recovery and unable to return to work for an extended period of time, ongoing medical bills and lost wages have created significant financial burden during an already difficult and uncertain time.
