Support Julius's Journey to a Healthy Smile

Hello, my name is Rebecca, and in the above picture is my son Julius. Julius is 10 years old. He is a bright, sweet, and amazing boy. He is very loving and loves to smile. Recently, he has tried to withhold his smile due to his teeth. He has become self-conscious and very aware of his mouth. He gets made fun of, and it hurts his feelings a lot.

I took him to the Orthodontist, and they explained that he needs Phase 1 in braces. Unfortunately, insurance refuses to cover his Phase 1 braces, and we are forced to pay out of pocket. His adult teeth are having a hard time coming down due to the severe crowding in his mouth and how narrow the roof of his mouth is. He is always in pain and has a hard time being able to close his mouth properly. It also affects his breathing while sleeping, which causes him to snore and could get worse to the point he might stop breathing. He might have to have surgery as well to remove some baby teeth. He has a severe overjet of 20mm (that's his teeth sticking out) and should have been an automatic approval but was denied. I even fought and appealed the case but still was denied.
