Hello, my name is Tamara Jean and my husband's name is Julio Jean, who's a father, grandpa, brother, uncle and a friend, and is well respected by many people in our community. We're starting a GoFundMe because my husband had a major brain surgery back in 2000 due to an abscess that burst inside his right ear, which led to an infection of the right side of his brain that had to be removed because it was a life or death medical emergency. Afterwards, my husband was in a coma for 6 months and spent 1 1/2 years in recovery, learning how to walk, talk, and adapt to daily life. As a result, my husband's brain problems left him with Grand Mal seizures that got more aggressive throughout the years.

In August 2025, my husband's seizures took a heavy toll on his brain and the neurologist said he needs a skull replacement ASAP or he will decline rapidly. It's a life or death medical emergency. I was working full-time, but I had to leave my job to be a full-time caregiver for my husband. It's been medically, financially, physically, and mentally hard on our family, and therefore, we just need help with our situation.
