In a cruel twist of fate, he was shot in the back and left to fight for his life near the basketball court, where he spent many years of his whole childhood perfecting his craft, adjacent to the building at 421 West 18th Street. Paramedics swiftly rushed Julio to the hospital, where they managed to stabilize him. Despite the gravity of his situation, Julio’s resilience prevailed, and by Thursday morning, he was transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit, embarking on the arduous path of recovery.

A dedicated basketball player and a diligent student, he graduated from Regis University in Massachusetts, a testament to his perseverance and academic prowess.
