Hey Everyone,
We appreciate everyone taking the time to read this. A few weeks ago, I had an emergency exploratory laparotomy that turned into open abdominal surgery due to a possible intestinal obstruction. Ultimately, I had a right hemicolectomy and anastomosis of my ileum back to my colon, and partial right salpingectomy, with a reduction of internal hernia. During the extensive surgery, the doctor noticed my appendix did not look healthy. He thankfully decided to remove it for fear of a future appendicitis. Pathology came back as rare Appendiceal Neuroendocrine Cancer.
I have not been working for three weeks and, depending on things, may be out for 4-5 weeks more. My family and I are hoping to offset out-of-pocket medical, travel (5 hours 1-way), and a few minor living expenses. We would be forever grateful for the show of love, empathy, and generosity. This diagnosis came as a complete and utter shock to us, to say the least, as it is not found with basic bloodwork.
Thank you,
Julie and Family
