Hi everyone, you all know me as Julie, whether you are friends, family, or acquaintances. I made this GoFundMe because on October 9th, I was in a pedestrian versus auto accident where unfortunately I was the pedestrian.

I was on my way home from work, and I was two blocks away from where I reside when the accident happened. The vehicle was a truck and the driver fled the scene. From what I know, he managed to get on the 101 Freeway, so the LAPD was unable to chase after him in that moment. Luckily, there were individuals from the small businesses that have been located on Sunset Boulevard for years, and I was able to get emergency medical attention quickly.

Due to the accident, I have sustained serious injuries that have left me unable to work for an unspecified amount of time since I have had surgery for my hand and I am unable to walk and stand.

As many of us do in this economy, I live paycheck to paycheck and the entirety of my paycheck goes to my studies, housing, transportation, and bills. This incident has left me unable to provide my usual income for my family. And it has also left me at such a huge disadvantage in my studies since I am supposed to transfer to a university after this school year.

If you are able to contribute, your donation will be used in providing me financial help to travel to my clinics and hospital for any future surgeries or treatments I will be required to undergo. It will also be used to help pay any tuition fees that I will have, along with the cost of materials I will require to start in my new campus, rent, bills, and any medical equipment I may require for my mobility so I can attempt to be independent in my own home.
