Support Julie's Fight Against Endometriosis

10/22/24 update: After multiple delays, Julie finally had a successful surgery yesterday at Lenox Hill. Her recovery is now in progress. Thank you so much for all that have supported and continue to support her through this time
Hi, my name is Tyler and I am Julie's cousin. Julie is the strongest and most resilient person I've ever met. Despite facing a lifelong battle with endometriosis, she has always remained strong, positive, and with a smile on her face. I am reaching out on Julie's behalf, hoping to gain support for her as she awaits her 14th surgery.
If you are unfamiliar with Julie's journey, she has undergone 13 surgeries over the past 20 years to fight endo, including a hysterectomy at the age of 17. Her most recent surgery, which occurred in February of this year, addressed a severe infection caused by tears in her abdomen from endo growth. She is currently awaiting her 14th surgery (endo excision, ovary removal and ileostomy reversal), which was originally scheduled for May/June 2024. Unfortunately due to doctor's schedules and some setbacks, it has been pushed to late September.
As a result of her 13th surgery addressing the infection, Julie cannot work, do anything strenuous and is still in daily pain. She was denied disability pay and the medical bills and the cost of daily life have become a major stressor. An original GoFundMe was started by her brother, Danny, just after her 13th surgery. Julie is beyond thankful for the overwhelming support that it garnered. With her new surgery scheduled for late September, she will not be able to return to work until November at the very earliest. I felt compelled to start a new GoFundMe to raise money to get her through the next 4-5 months.
Any assistance is deeply appreciated and will be cherished by Julie during this time.
