Support Julie Phipps' Life-Saving Transplant
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Shawn Donner, I’m the niece of Julie Phipps.
Let me start off by saying my Aunt Julie is the most loving, supportive, positive woman you will ever meet. She is a mom, a daughter, a aunt, a friend, a sister and a wife. She has a heart of gold. Always willing to help when she can. She has taught me so much over the years.
She has the most positive out look on life. She is truly a ray of sunshine!
Unfortunately, Julie is not well and has been struggling with many different health issues her entire life. This is her story . . .
My name is Julie,
I have had diabetes for 39 years.
Diabetes destroys the kidneys. After years of trying to control my diabetes my kidneys failed. I have been on dialysis now for 5 years starting my 6th.
I was on the transplant list until I suffered a stroke in March 2022.
I have recovered enough to be considered for a transplant.
I am in the process of completing all neccesary tests. I am very concerned about the costs of hotels. I must stay in denver near the hospital for 8 weeks following my transplant. I cannot stay alone, my husband will not be working because he will be taking care of me. He is self employed so there is no sick time or vacation pay to rely on.
We did have savings but a year ago my husband suffered an aneurysm and was off work for almost a year.
I am in desperate need of a transplant and I am frantically trying to figure this out. Any support and prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Julie
Thats the story.
My Aunt Julie is a fighter. But without this transplant she wont have much time. Please pray for them, that God finds a way.
Thank you for reading this and thank you for any support you can give.
