Update for Julie! January 2026: We thought the battle had been won, but unfortunately it’s far from over! Julie has another round of chemotherapy and radiation to undergo. She won’t be through this until around Christmas. As you may know this is aggressive and it’s sure letting her know. Please if you can help in any way please do or please share. Hello everyone! I am Shelley and I went to school with Julie Moravchik McAlister. Julie attended Ondossagon High School. Julie was always filled with positive outlooks and kind to everyone. Julie has dedicated her career as a journalist, her two children, and always showing support to her family, friends, and community. She received devastating news that she has stage 2 breast cancer. She is being treated with aggressive chemotherapy and will need radiation and surgery. She will then require infusions every three weeks until April of 2026, including meds for the next 5 years. A benefit in Iron River with a golf scramble at Northern Pines will be held August 9th starting at 11. Food is also being served and there will be a silent auction.
