Support Julie Jenei and Her Family After a Devastating House Fire

It is with heavy hearts that we share that on the evening of June 21, Julie Jenei and her family experienced a devastating house fire that resulted in the loss of their home and all of their belongings.

Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but Julie, her husband Scott, their son Matthew, their daughter Stella, Julie’s mother Kathy, and their beloved dog Coco are now facing the unimaginable task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.

Julie is a devoted and dedicated kindergarten teacher at Fostertown ETC Magnet School in Newburgh, New York. For years, she has poured her heart into caring for and educating young children, always putting the needs of others before her own. Anyone who knows Julie knows her kindness, generosity, and unwavering commitment to her students, colleagues, family, and friends.

This tragedy comes at an especially emotional time for the family, as Julie’s daughter is preparing to graduate from Newburgh Free Academy this Thursday—a milestone that should be filled with celebration and joy.

As the Jenei family begins the difficult journey ahead, we are asking for support to help them replace essential items, secure temporary housing, purchase clothing and necessities, and begin rebuilding what was lost.
