My name is Tina Betters and I’m hoping you can help my friend, Julie Howe. On April 9, 2025, Julie underwent a kidney transplant. Following the transplant, she has had many complications as a result of multiple infections spreading from the mesh that was used as part of a previous surgery. She is now being told that she will need to be on antibiotics for the next 6-12 months before they will do yet another surgery to remove the mesh.

Obviously, Julie has been unable to work since April, and she will remain unable to work for an indefinite period of time.

Julie is the type of friend that I wish everyone could have—she’s always thinking of helping others and constantly bringing a positive perspective to difficult times, all while living her life to the fullest potential possible. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and using her creativity at every given opportunity.
