Hello everyone,

My name is Julie Hamilton, and I’m reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for help during an incredibly challenging time. I’ve spent almost 40 years in corporate America, primarily in the building industry, but the last two decades have been particularly tough.

My Journey:

2008: The building industry collapsed, leading to a two-year recession. During this period, I lost two houses, two 401ks, and my husband. I was unemployed from 2008-2011, which led to bankruptcy, and it took a decade to recover.

2023: After finally seeing some light, I left a toxic work environment in January. In March, I was in a severe car accident caused by a reckless driver, which totaled my car and injured me. Shortly after, a job I secured turned out to be not what it seemed, leading to parting ways in September.

2024: I accepted a job that paid me what I earned 30 years ago, which wasn't enough to cover my bills. After requesting a livable wage, I was let go. In May, I was employed for only 13 days without proper training and then let go for not catching on quickly enough.

Now, in August 2024, I am financially at the end of my rope. It has been 20 months with minimal income, and I am on the verge of eviction. As a 61-year-old, I am unable to retire, buy a house, or pay my bills.

I am reaching out to you, friends, family, and kind strangers, to ask for your support during this critical time.
