Hi Everyone, my name is Darlene Miller. I've started this GoFundMe page for Julie Cottrell. She and Jason started a GoFundMe 3 years ago after my husband Scott Miller suddenly passed away. I'm so grateful to have them both in mine and my children's lives. This seemed like the right thing to do.

On Friday, March 8, 2025, Julie had a firearm unexpectedly discharge, hitting her right shoulder. She was rushed to UMMC and had emergency surgery to graft her artery. She was given 9 pints of blood. She has 3 broken ribs, lung bruising, and right arm issues. She spent 6 days in the hospital. She will most likely need more surgeries down the road and lots of rehab. Needless to say, she will be out of work for a while, and the medical expenses will be very high.
