Help Me Step Into Public Leadership: Support My Tuition and Travel to the LBJ Women’s Campaign School!
Hi, I’m a lifelong advocate for education, equity, and community empowerment. I’m honored to share that I’ve been accepted into the highly competitive LBJ Women’s Campaign School at The University of Texas at Austin—a nonpartisan, issue-neutral leadership program that equips women to run for office or lead effective political campaigns.
As someone who has spent over a decade designing impactful programs, leading community initiatives, and teaching government as an adjunct professor at Dallas College, I believe deeply in the power of education. It's the single most transformative tool we have—it opens doors, shifts generational outcomes, and builds stronger communities.
That’s why I’m preparing to run for school board—to be in the room where decisions are made, and to ensure every child, educator, and family has a voice at the table. The LBJ Women’s Campaign School will give me the tools, strategy, and mentorship I need to run a successful campaign and serve with integrity and purpose.
The program includes:
- Three days of in-person training in Austin, Texas
- Six months of live virtual sessions with political experts and campaign strategists
- Six months of 1:1 mentorship from seasoned leaders (optional—I’m opting in!)
- A campaign plan competition to refine our strategies and sharpen our messaging
While I’m ready to do the work, I need your help getting there. Your support will help cover the tuition and travel expenses so I can fully participate in this transformational experience. Every contribution—no matter the size—brings me one step closer to making meaningful change in our education system and beyond.
Thank you for believing in inclusive leadership—and for supporting this next step in my journey.
With deep appreciation,
Julie Cook
