Support Julie Cancilla's Cancer Battle

Julie Cancilla has been the store manager at The Cake Works in Campbell for over 40 years. If you have visited the shop or taken a class, you know that Julie is known for her patience, her kindness, her sugar cookies and her cinnamon rolls!

If you know Julie, you know that she is the first person to offer assistance to those in need. She is active in her church, serving as a teacher for children in the primary classes. Through the shop, she also helps the greater community by working with Campbell Union School District’s WorkAbility Program and offering work time for their students.

Recently, Julie was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in both breasts. Surgery is scheduled for early June, along with follow up treatment. While Julie is usually the one offering help, this time she is the one needing assistance. In addition to the medical costs that her insurance will not cover (deductibles, copays, etc.) she will also have expenses for home care supplies as well as lost wages. We are hoping to help offset those expenses with this fundraiser.

This diagnosis was very recent, and we are estimating the funds Julie will need. We may change the goal as her treatment plan is created, and, with her permission, will post updates on her condition.
