I am Barbara Perlman. Julie and I were in high school together in North Bellmore, NY. We became fast friends and then lost touch. I was actually the one who introduced Julie to Tom all those years ago, as Tom was a manager in the bank where I worked. Julie was the most giving person I ever knew. She would do anything for a friend. She is a hard worker, I think too hard, as she thinks of everyone else before herself.

As you know, Tom has cancer, and Julie is recovering from surgery and had to stop working. Life for them is difficult, I think, though she never ever complains. I am not telling her I am doing this, but I wanted to try to do something for her and Tom. Can you spare $5? I am requesting $5 from everyone on her Facebook friend page. Times are hard, and I understand if you can’t, but I would greatly appreciate all who do.
