In loving memory of Carson Prey-Harbaugh

Since Carson’s death on 2/24/24, the goals of this fundraiser have changed a bit. These funds will be used to:

-fund a Celebration of Life/Arts Night open to Carson’s community 

-fund at least one legacy project at Strath Haven High School

-pay towards Carson’s funeral expenses, including cremation, a burial plot, the graveside service and luncheon for family 

-make up for the loss of income from Julie’s work as a hospice chaplain while she copes with this deep grief

Thanks to all who gave and are continuing to give. This is a blessing and a lifeline in this incredibly hard time.

Where this fundraiser began:

We are raising funds to help Julie and Jenn pay for basic expenses for at least six months while they are going through the unimaginable. Carson contracted the flu in early January, which quickly progressed to a septic infection in her lungs and major organs. She is in the Pediatric ICU at CHOP, on life support. Julie is staying at CHOP with Carson at all times, sleeping at the hospital and staying by Carson's side as much as possible. Julie is a hospice chaplain, not a job that she can do remotely, or truly do while Carson is in this precarious situation, so she will soon be on unpaid leave. Carson will likely be in the ICU for 6 months or so, and then rehab for several more months. Let's raise enough to cover the mortgage and expenses through March at this time.
