Support for Julia’s Loved Ones

As many of you know, my step mom Julia has been battling Stage 4 Glioblastoma since 2020. She’s put up quite a strong fight the last 5 years, going through many rounds of chemo, countless medications, and various types of physical therapy. Through all of that, she still managed to be a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, friend, employee, and fiancé. She is kindhearted, selfless, brave, and best of all, she has a sense of humor like no other. Julia is very good at being there for others and does not hesitate to stand up for anyone who needs it. She also had a strong interest in the world around her, where she could help, who she could help, even down to little reptiles and fish. Julia loved to travel and although was not fond of swimming, loved to travel to the tropics and learned to love the water. That is where her beauty shined the most.
My brother and I were fortunate enough to become a part of Julia’s life when she met my dad a few years ago after working out alongside each other at a local 9Round. She brought undeniable joy into his world and was a pleasant surprise to our lives as well. We are so lucky to have met her and came to love her just as much as her friends and family did all those years. In 2024, Julia was officially named a member of our small family after my dad proposed to her. She truly is a blessing in everyone’s life. She is a hardworking mother who was able to help her daughter achieve her career and educational goals even as a single mom, and a supportive daughter to her mother who was in need herself not that long ago. She touches the hearts of those she loves and she constantly prides herself on the amount of love she has for her family.
Unfortunately, on the morning of April 30th, 2025, Julia passed away at home after a long battle with cancer. Though we know she was tired for a long time, she was stubborn and a strong fighter, and we knew the battle would be a long one no matter the outcome. Julia is finally able to be at peace now.
My dad spent the last 6-7 months of her time with us being her dedicated caretaker especially when she was brought home after her first surgery to remove the glioblastoma. Because of that, costs have piled up and unfortunately bills don’t stop when you lose someone you love. I am hoping to raise some money to get at least some help for my dad in the time to come so he can grieve and recover without having to worry about groceries and bills, and still be able to support my brother as he finishes off his last years of high school. Part of the donations will also go to caring for Julia’s mother as she battles her own sickness as well as the Marc Jackson Brain Cancer Fund.
