Hello everyone!

We are Tyra, Clarece, and Tori, and we are friends with Julia. We are all a part of an Elementary Teacher Preparation Program at a university in Colorado.

In our program, we student teach (unpaid) four full school days a week, attend full-time classes, and support ourselves with work when we have the time. This semester, our program cut funding that helped support students like Julia.

She was forced to move from Denver to her parents' house in Pueblo due to the cost of living and currently has to travel to Brighton and Denver more than half of the week. This has placed a lot of stress on an already stressful time in her life, and she is struggling to keep afloat.

Julia is a very compassionate, loving person to her friends, family, and the children she teaches. She always wears a smile and lights up a room when she walks in. She is passionate about teaching and works hard to make a difference in the classroom. We are trying to alleviate some of the stress Julia is facing since this is her last semester before she graduates in December.
