Help Julia Fight Stage IV Triple-Negative Breast Cancer
My name is Alice Samoylovich, and I am reaching out on behalf of everyone who loves Julia. She is my dear mama, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a gentle soul to so many, and right now, our family needs your help as she faces the fight of her life.
About Julia
Julia is a 52-year-old wife, mother of two daughters, ages 26 and 19, and a woman of deep faith whose life has always been defined by love, generosity, and strength. Married for 28 years, she is the steady heart of her family and the friend everyone can count on, endlessly reliable, fiercely loyal, and always the first to show up when someone needs help.
No matter what she is facing, Julia always comes back to one phrase: “Stay positive.” It is how she moves through life, and it is how she is facing this battle.
Her generous spirit touches every part of her life. She gives her time to charities in Irvine and to Mariners Church, and she is always thinking about how she can help others.
Julia is also a gifted artist. She paints in an abstract style, often creating images of women that reflect power, beauty, hope, and encouragement. Her work has been showcased at the Balboa Peninsula Art Gallery and donated to fundraising events, but her favorite place to share her art has always been through gifts to the people she loves most.
Julia has so much life still ahead of her. She dreams of dancing at my wedding in 2027 and watching my sister graduate from college in 2028. These are the moments we are fighting for.
Through everything, Julia continues to trust God, face each day with extraordinary courage, and, as always, stay positive.
About Julia’s Condition
Over the past year, Julia has endured aggressive treatment for triple-negative breast cancer, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and multiple surgeries.
Recently, Julia received devastating news: despite everything she has already gone through, the cancer has returned and has now spread beyond the original site. Her PET scan confirmed distant metastasis, and Julia is now facing Stage IV triple-negative breast cancer.
Triple-negative breast cancer is one of the most aggressive and difficult-to-treat forms of breast cancer. Because Julia’s cancer has returned despite intensive treatment, her oncology team is now working urgently to determine the strongest path forward.
Our family is exploring every available option to give her the best possible chance, including advanced molecular and genomic testing, second opinions, emerging therapies, clinical trials, and supportive care to help strengthen her body through treatment.
This is an overwhelming and heartbreaking turn in Julia’s journey, with many tests, treatments, and difficult decisions still ahead. But we are holding onto faith, hope, and the possibility of more time, more memories, more milestones, and more precious moments with the people she loves most.
Why We Need Your Help
The hardest truth is that many of the treatments, tests, and supportive therapies that may give Julia her best chance are extraordinarily expensive, and not all of them are covered by insurance.
Advanced diagnostics, molecular and genomic testing, specialized consultations, clinical trial evaluations, travel and lodging near treatment centers, and supportive therapies can quickly add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars. These costs are far beyond what any one family should have to carry alone.
That is why we are turning to our community.
Every contribution helps give Julia access to the care, testing, and support that may help slow the disease, strengthen her body, and give her more time with the people who love her.

We will continue to update this page as Julia’s journey unfolds.
Please keep Julia and her family in your hearts. No one should have to walk this road alone, and your support reminds Julia that she is surrounded by love, faith, and hope.
