Update 4 - Julian ended up needed another enema on 4/3 as he had one little piece left that was not going to move on its own. He is definitely acting more like himself these days and we are so happy to see him back to his feisty self.
UPDATE 3 - oh my sweet summer child. Julian ate…. A magnet it is out. Julian is awake. He was sent home with some new yummy food, some wonderful pain meds, and a pesky cone. Fingers crossed for good healing. As always - any donation or sharing is beyond helpful. Thank you all!
UPDATE 2 - Julian is currently in surgery at my vets office. We have full faith in them and are excited to have our boy home tonight. Please continue to share for us.
UPDATE - Julian received his enemas last night and did swimmingly (aside from being his usual spicy self). He came home with us this morning and I was fortunate that my primary care vet had time today and we will be doing object removal TODAY. The total of Julian’s care has come to $3k and we’re looking at another $2k today, as time is of the essence. We appreciate anything and everything you can do to help.
Hi friends! Today, Jonesay had to rush sweet Julian to the emergency vet due to him having blockage symptoms. While Julian doesn’t have a blockage, he IS severely constipated (needing a series of enemas) and he IS at risk of developing one due to a foreign object in his stomach. We still aren’t sure what he ate, but it looks like a button battery, which presents a much higher need to operate. Stomach acid and batteries do not mix . We will be doing the enemas today and reaching out to primary cares tomorrow when they open for surgery. Jonesay, Julian, and I would appreciate any contribution you may have. Julian is Jonesay’s whole heart and soul, and he would be so, so lost without his sidekick. Thank you so much for reading!
