Support Julian’s (Shane) Terminal Cancer Battle
Donation protected
From childhood, he's always been my protector, my personal bodyguard, and biggest fan. My brother... As a family, it has been a rough few years. I'm an optimist, so my mind is in constant solution mode. I'm a fixer... I try to take care of everything. Watching my dad decline in his battle with cancer was a beautiful struggle. I was blessed to be able to help my mother take care of him until his final breath. You were there to witness it too.
Two years later, my world was rocked with Shawn's heart failure diagnosis. Once again, I was put in a position to care for yet another important man in my life. I attribute my survival through that to God and possibly being out of body during the whole thing. But you were there with me even through your own illness.
Those two situations fueled the idea to finish what Mom and Dad started, which was to open a care residence to help others.
Never did I imagine, 2 years removed from Shawn's health issue, that you would become a resident of the home I meant for others. I was again facing the challenge of watching an important man in my life struggle with cancer. This has shaken me to my core, but I still trust God and remain positive.
My brother's battle with cancer has now turned terminal. Doctors tend to put a time limit on things they have no control over, but we are also realistic. There is nothing more that chemotherapy can do to help us. He is now living at my care residence, managing pain. We as a family are only left with the option of holistic treatment and experimental medicine. The treatment plan is not covered through insurance and is costly, but it's the only chance we have left. If you feel it in your heart, please pray, share this post, or donate to my brother's treatment. We are truly grateful for all who have reached out. We are not giving up. We are remaining positive and trusting God.
