Dear friends and family,

On behalf of the Gutierrez family, we are humbly reaching out to you during a very difficult time. As many of you know, their precious son, Julian, has been bravely fighting a congenital heart defect (CHD) since birth. Julian’s journey began at just five days old, when he had to undergo his first open heart surgery. After many days in the NICU, he grew strong enough to come home, becoming the fierce little lion and heart warrior we all admire.

This year, Julian took an exciting step — he started kindergarten. But as often happens with heart conditions like his, the unexpected arrived. Julian needed a follow-up stent procedure to help support his heart, and while it was initially expected to be a routine procedure, the doctors discovered something more serious: Julian will now require another major open heart surgery.

As you can imagine, this news has been incredibly difficult for Julian, his parents, and their entire family — emotionally, physically, and financially. The upcoming surgery and recovery process are expected to be long and challenging, and it will require both Julian and his family to lean on the strength of others.

We are reaching out with open hearts, asking for any support you can provide to ease the financial burden this has placed on the family. Your donations will help ensure that Julian’s father, Cesar, can take the time he needs to be by his side throughout the recovery process, without the worry of financial strain.
