It’s with a heavy and broken heart that I share the sudden loss of my cherished dog, Pepper. After an unexpected health emergency, she passed away—and the grief of her absence has been overwhelming.

Pepper was full of life—energetic, adventurous, and endlessly curious. She had a gift for making every greeting feel like the most exciting moment of your day. She loved hiking and always found a stick to proudly carry along the trail. She was sweet, smart, and deeply loving. Everyone who met her could feel her joyful spirit. For the last 9 years she's been my adventure bestie.

Though I did everything I could to help her, Pepper’s emergency care resulted in a vet bill of $4,000. While I wouldn’t hesitate to try and save her again, I’m now navigating the pain of loss alongside the financial burden of her medical costs.
