Dear Friends,
My name is Julia Lipsztein, and I am a senior film student at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. As I approach the end of my final year, I have been given the incredible opportunity to write, direct, and produce my Senior Thesis film. This project is deeply personal, inspired by my own experiences navigating friendships in college—finding the balance between new college friends and lifelong connections isn’t always easy, and socializing within these circles can feel complicated and isolating.
This film tells the story of visiting a best friend at college and grappling with the sense of being out of place, a feeling that I believe resonates with most college students and the “inner college student” in us all. My goal is to offer a vision of connection for anyone who feels adrift or alone in new surroundings.
To bring this vision to life, I need your help. Every dollar makes a difference, going directly toward essential production costs like locations, meals for our dedicated cast and crew, production design, camera rentals, wardrobe, and so much more. For those able to contribute more, donations of $500 or more will receive an Executive Producer credit in the film, and donations over $1,000 will receive a special thank you from me on social media as an additional expression of my gratitude. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign with friends, family, and anyone who may connect with our story would be invaluable.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. With your support, I can make this film a reality and tell a story that I hope will touch many.
Warmly,
Julia
