Thank you for following my recovery journey. I’m still facing challenges with insurance, unemployment, and transportation for physical therapy. Your support helps me cover essentials like rent, food, and electricity, and I’m deeply grateful for it.

My insurance situation has improved slightly, but recovery challenges remain. I am currently unemployed, though I am trying to find freelance work I can do from home. SNAP/food stamps is pending a final decision. Getting to and from therapy appointments is expensive since I don’t have a car. My financial priorities right now are rent, food, transportation, and electricity.

Hi, my name is Julia Linthicum. I currently live in Baltimore, MD. I'm unemployed, just lost health insurance, and am facing three months of recovery for a back injury. Ideally, I'd like to raise enough to get me back on my feet while healing and looking for a job.

On Saturday November 1st, 2025, I was walking to an event, when I took the turn at Center and St. Paul and wiped out. A kind bystander stayed with me while they called the ambulance. Two days at Mercy Medical and I was diagnosed with a compression burst fracture of my L3 vertebrae. Because of my health insurance ended on Oct 31st, I was not covered. Even my rehab options have been limited. I can't even afford the medications they're offering.

All I know is I can't survive three months of this. Without a job, I can't afford anything, nor will anyone offer me a loan, although my credit is fairly good.

Everyone hits their limits. I've finally hit mine. There's a saying about how a body will decide for you when it's done. Mine decided to scream at me.

I am truly grateful for you help.
