Julia Hatcher, a 6th Grade ELA teacher at FDMS, has been teaching in the FD Community Schools since 2004. This past April, she was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a type of cancer that affects the blood and bone marrow. Since early June, Julia has been making weekly trips to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, to receive treatment. In mid-November, she will undergo a stem cell transplant, which will require her and her husband, Jeff, to relocate to Rochester for approximately 5 to 6 weeks. Any funds raised will be used to cover
