Help Julia Katherine's Children After Homicide Tragedy

On June 17, 2025, in Janesville, WI, Julia Katherine — our beautiful daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, cousin and friend — was taken from us in a senseless act of gun violence. Julia was a sweet-natured and patient woman who truly would give anyone the shirt off her back, no matter what she was going through.

Julia was a survivor of domestic violence and was passionate about helping other women and children in that situation. Tragically, while she and her incredibly giving boyfriend, Scott, were helping an employee leave an abusive relationship, her compassion cost her her life along with her boyfriend's as they were fatally gunned down. Julia leaves behind two very young children.

Julia was an incredibly devoted mother who deeply enjoyed spending time with her two young children, Maya (5) and Aiden (1). Her beautiful smile would light up anyone’s day. She was incredibly kind, loving, caring, and had a deep affection for animals and the outdoors. Julia would do anything for someone in need, always putting others before herself.

At the young age of 25, Julia channeled her own heartbreaks into a truly meaningful purpose. She started her own business, Guiding Hands Living Support Services, caring for seniors and hospice patients, while advocating for military veterans to receive all of the benefits they are entitled to.

As Julia’s family grapples with the crushing loss of this brave, resilient young woman, we are reaching out to raise funds to help cover the cost of her funeral and help provide a future for Julia’s now-motherless children. Truly, any amount will help, and we invite you to share this with others who might want to pitch in.
