Support Julia and Dan Through This Heartbreak

Julia and Dan are already the strongest and most loving parents we know. Unfortunately they’re facing something no parent should go through—and they need our help.

On January 14—at 32 weeks pregnant and only 2 days after her beautiful baby shower—Julia learned some devastating news at her final ultrasound. Doctors unexpectedly discovered that her daughter Sunny Ann has a rare tumor growing inside her brain and compressing her brain structures. This condition is one in a million and sadly there is nothing that can be done for sweet Sunny.

In the coming weeks, Julia will undergo a C-section and she and Dan will spend whatever time they have with Sunny holding her and making her comfortable.

Julia and Dan are truly a one-of-a-kind couple. While nobody should have to experience this tragedy, we know that they will continue to face this with strength, positivity, and so much love.

It’s time we show our support and give back to this amazing couple—who will be facing extreme medical bills and additional expenses in the coming months as they recover physically and emotionally.

Their chosen career paths reflect how incredible they are—Julia as an incredible special education teacher and Dan as a committed psychology PhD student—but unfortunately the expenses will be beyond their means.

Every little bit will help this truly remarkable couple face this hardship—two people who constantly show up for those around them. We want to make sure that the financial burden is something that they don’t have to worry about.
