Hi friends, family, and compassionate strangers,
We’re raising funds for Julia — a beloved headshot photographer, caregiver, mother, and dedicated mental health hotline worker — who urgently needs a dependable car to continue living safely and independently in California.
After the loss of a key family member, Julia has faced a steep rise in responsibilities and a reduction in income. Despite these challenges, she continues to show up for others with strength, love, and unwavering grace.
Julia is a photographer, mom, daughter, and mental health worker who needs support replacing her non operable car to stay safe and independent in California. She helps so many people — her queer son who acts in Hollywood, people calling crisis lines, and even queer kids who’ve been in foster care. Now she needs our help.
Before layoffs, Julia was formerly employed as a mental health hotline worker, using her calm, compassionate presence to support people in crisis. She has been a committed headshot photographer, supporting the dreams of actors and performers for over a decade. Her lifelong commitment to public service has shown up in countless ways — from behind the camera to behind the phone, offering encouragement, empathy, and grounding support when it’s needed most.
She is the proud and loving mom of two sons, including one who is pursuing his dream full-time in Hollywood. Julia has been a key part of his journey — transporting him to auditions, rehearsals, and bookings — all while balancing multiple roles and jobs.
But her heart doesn’t stop at unconditional love for her queer and nonbinary family. Julia has also been a consistent source of emotional support for a former youth in foster care, showing up as chosen family when it mattered most.
