Jules’s Life Story:

Jules was born in 2005 and has lived a long, challenging life. She was bred and raised by my ex sister-in-law’s parents in a busy household with many children. At just five months old, a tragic accident changed her life forever. While following my niece to get the mail, Jules was hit by a speeding car. The driver fled the scene, leaving her severely injured. She survived, but her left rear leg had to be amputated.

Despite this traumatic start, Jules endured a chaotic life and grew into a resilient, loving dog. About six and a half years ago, I "rescued" her from my ex sister-in-law and my brother, as they had five children, two dogs, and very little time for her. The kids were still on the younger side, Jules was really getting up there in age, so it simply made sense to re-home her with someone in the family. I immediately jumped at the chance, Jules and I were always bonded. Since then, she has been my loyal companion, living with me 24/7 and providing endless love, comfort, and support. Jules has touched so many lives and is deeply loved by all who know her.

Current Situation / Medical Urgency:

Jules is now very sick. She is vomiting multiple times per day, eating less, and having difficulty walking due to her age and frailty. She also has yellowish-brown discharge from her nose and is clearly uncomfortable, though she is still drinking water, thank God.

Why I Need Your Help:

I am unable to provide the care Jules urgently needs because of my own accident last year at my old marina. The accident left me injured and I nearly drowned - life has spiraled completely out of control after this accident, making it impossible to manage both my recovery and Jules’s medical needs. Your support will ensure that she receives the care she desperately needs.

We are raising funds to provide Jules with urgent veterinary care, including exams, diagnostics, medications, and supportive treatments to ease her discomfort. Every dollar donated will go directly to her care, helping her live her remaining days with dignity, comfort, and love.
