In November 2025, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of melanoma, stage IV brain cancer, also known as "Sunshine and gene" melanoma cancer. I know, most people when they hear the word "melanoma" they think of skin cancer. Unfortunately for me, because of my genes, when the Sun's UV ray hit one, or more, of my freckles, even one that may have been hidden under a fingernail, instead of the cancer cells staying in that freckle and creating the normal skin cancer, the freckle(s) allowed the cancer cells to enter my body, runaround my body, until it eventually migrated to my brain. We don't know when the cancer cells entered my body, but my doctor said that the cancer cells had migrated to my brain sometime by February or March of 2025 and started creating tumors. If I'd had a brain scan at that time, the images would shown eight tumors starting to grow. That is too many to have brain surgery to get them all out. It turns out that one side of my brain had swelled up so much that it had pushed my brain against my skull and slightly moved it to the other side, which caused brain damage. A number of my doctors told me that it is remarkable that my reasoning, communication, and balance are as good as they are today. I was told that most people whose brains goes through this kind of trauma ended up worse off than I am. I give that credit to God, the amazing expertise of my doctors, and the same genes that caused this cancer, I believe protected me and are fighting back.

I'm starting this GoFundMe, not to save my life, that’s not possible, but to help me with the medical bills that I have accumulated thus far, and perhaps help me to go into a possible remission for up to 10 years with immunized procedures that could cost up to $20k; there are less aggressive procedures that do cost less.
