Hi, I’m Judy. I’ve been diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer in both breasts, and I’ll be undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery on October 16. It's overwhelming, especially since my company is small and doesn't offer FMLA.

Jay, my boyfriend , stays at home to care for our son, Ashton, which helps with the high cost of daycare, but I’m worried about how we’ll manage our bills while I recover. I'll be in the hospital for up to 3 days and recovery could take as long as 8 weeks, during which time I can’t be left alone.

I’m doing everything I can to apply for grants, but I’m concerned it won’t be enough to cover essential expenses like our mortgage, HOA fees, and household bills. Any help, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated. Ashton is my world, and I just want to ensure that Jay, Ashton, and I have the stability we need during this time without the fear of losing our home.
