On behalf of the Pontsler Family, we are raising funds to help Judi with the unimaginable pain and cost from losing her husband, John.

On May 5, 2025, John, or as many of you knew him, Dick, passed away unexpectedly. What started as some abdominal pain, turned into being admitted to the hospital for observation, followed by emergency surgery on May 3. As John started the recovery process, he took a sudden turn less than 30 hours post op. His family made the extremely difficult decision to prioritize his comfort and let him go home to be with the Lord. John, being the stubborn person he was, refused to leave until his "darling bride" told him it was okay. Judi told him it was time to go home, that she loved him and that she would see him soon. Not being one to make Judi wait, John quickly drew his last breath, and left this world to join our Heavenly Father.

John was the most amazing, selfless, compassionate, and hard-working man. God was always #1 in his life, with his wife Judi in a very close 2nd. John and Judi would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary next month, and throughout those 45 years, John made every sacrifice he could to provide for his wife. For the past 19 years, John's happy place has been in his outdoor kitchen, overlooking the pond behind the 12th green, with Palomar Mountain as his backdrop. As a testament to his selflessness, John and Judi left their slice of heaven on earth 12 months ago to take care of Judi's mother in her final years.

We are humbling asking for your generosity during this difficult time to assist Judi navigating John's memorial and medical expenses. Any help that is willingly given is greatly appreciated. If your heartfelt prayer is all you can afford, it will be gladly received.
